Goal Setting -- Questionnaire

NB Read the accompanying notes.

So far you have learnt that you need to have positive goals and that you need to write them down. Spend some time filling in the following questionnaire.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Go for positive answers. Instead of writing "I must lose weight," try something like "I want to be slim, fit healthy."

WHAT WILL THAT DO FOR YOU?

What benefits will you get from whatever it is that you want? Being slim may mean that you can shop for clothes where you want, be more active, have more energy etc.

HOW WILL YOU KNOW THAT YOU'VE GOT WHAT YOU WANT?

What changes will there be to your life? Maybe you will go out more or go dancing.

WHAT WILL YOU SEE WHEN YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT?

This is a picture of yourself. What size of clothes will you be wearing?

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Would you feel warm, excited, cool, satisfied, loved, in control, happy, full of energy?

WHAT WOULD YOU HEAR?

You might hear a loved one telling you how good you look, or yourself.
